Company History
Begun in 1984 as a volunteer hospice, Ogle County Hospice Association was established as a community-based, not for profit organization. Ogle County Hospice became a full-service, Medicare/Medicaid certified hospice in 1995, offering expanded services to patients and their families. In 2009, Serenity Home, an 8-bed inpatient home was opened in Oregon, Illinois to offer patients another level of care. Ogle County Hospice expanded its service territory in 2011, to include all of Boone, Carroll, DeKalb, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago Counties, as well as the towns of Walnut and Ohio in Bureau County. In early 2012, Ogle County Hospice changed its name to Serenity Hospice & Home to create a stronger connection between our community hospice services and the Serenity Home. As an organization, our commitment to excellence has made us a preferred provider in the area for over 35 years and we continue to grow and look for new and innovative ways to serve our community.
