Hourly Pay Range: $99.53 - $154.27

Endeavor Health is currently seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Swedish Hospital, located in Chicago, IL. Reporting directly to the system Chief Nursing Executive, we are seeking a leader who is passionate about driving quality improvement, developing future nurse leaders, and advancing health equity and community impact. This individual will not only sustain a high-performing operation but will actively propel the organization forward continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
The ideal candidate will have:
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in IL
A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Nursing, DNP preferred
Specialty certification in a clinical specialty or related field preferred
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible clinical and/or administrative leadership experience
Prior experience and proven results in leading clinical services/teams in a complex, heavily matrixed healthcare system and collaborating across departments and teams
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
Provide leadership and direction to advance the mission, vision and values of the health care system
Deliver leadership over the professional nursing practice environment and oversee the delivery of patient care to ensure quality, safety, and evidence-based practices in compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements
Role-model accountability and ownership of professional development and patient care outcomes and ensures nurses and other care team partners (e.g., physicians, respiratory therapists, PCTs, etc.) work collaboratively and at top of license
Provide strategic direction and participate on the executive leadership team of Endeavor Swedish Hospital and participate in strategic planning for nursing and patient care for the system; ensures strategic goals and priorities are achieved in fiscally responsible ways
Develop talent and leaders who delegate, empower, inspire, and hold others accountable for achieving quality and safety outcomes; foster the professional growth and development of both leaders and staff
Assume an active leadership role on the executive and clinical operations leadership teams and safety and quality committees within the health care system
Accountable for all aspects of financial performance and growth within areas of responsibility
Promote and facilitate increased nursing research to further develop and augment care delivery approaches based on scientific findings in nursing and other clinical sciences
