We’re a growing business, on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our teams in Ballarat, Bendigo or Geelong in an autonomous, but well supported role! In this role, you'll provide quality speech pathology services to a mixed caseload of clients aged 16 years and over in your local community.
While you don’t need to have worked in a community-based speech pathology role before, you do have had 2-years on the job experience working with clients who live with physical or cognitive disability, a neurological condition or are experiencing age-related changes.
If you are thinking of making the jump from public health, we provide additional onboarding support to therapists who are transitioning from public health into the private sector (see we have your back!).
Please note: Unfortunately, we are not in a position to sponsor candidates from overseas at this time.
About your new role
As a Speechie at Allied Therapy Services, your day could include:
Starting your day with coffee & emails at home before venturing out to see your first client of the day.
Visiting a client in their home to review progress & help them achieve their goals like, telling a joke to their family, reading a book to their children, or safely eating their favorite home-cooked meal.
Getting out and about in the community. Speech Pathology in the community can be creative and fun! Word retrieval practice at social group trivia, swallowing practice at a local cafe, using assistive technology to order a coffee or social communication practice with a client's friends.
Touching base with your Team Leader for a debrief and chat about your caseload.
Providing education and training to clients, their family and/or carers to help them continue your therapy program in the home.
Calling into a local cafe for a cuppa & a quiet moment to complete your notes & write any reports.
Jumping online to participate in a client care team meeting.
Attending a joint assessment or therapy session with one of our experienced Physios or OTs.
Popping into a Teams meeting with our Speech Pathology Clinical Lead and other Speechies across our teams to share learnings and knowledge, ask questions and seek support or share in professional development learnings.
Liaising with support coordinators, local area coordinators, or others in your clients support network to discuss their progress, goals and to work together to help overcome any barriers.
Taking part in your local team meeting or listening to the latest in-house clinical podcast or participating in our professional development program.
Finishing super early one day as you have achieved your clinical targets for the week! (Yes, really!)
Join our team and enjoy;
Working for a well-established, community-based allied health provider with a strong referrer base ensuring a consistent & interesting mixed caseload of clients.
A structured 6-week clinical supervision and team support program built specifically for Allied Therapy Services new starters.
Ongoing professional development support guided by a dedicated clinical lead from your discipline.
Regular and easily accessible day-to-day support provided by your Team Leader and collaborative peer network.

A broad & growing range of assessment, therapy & reporting resources & tools.
