The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is searching for an Assistant Professor for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position beginning September 2026. The successful candidate will be teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses; advising students; providing service to the department, school, and university; and establishing an independent, fundable research program.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) in audiology, hearing science, or a related discipline by the appointment date. All areas of expertise related to audiology and hearing science will be considered. We are also particularly interested in applicants who conduct research in pediatrics, hearing technologies, and/or public health approaches to hearing healthcare. Applicants are not required to hold an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A); however, they must possess the ability to teach courses in the Doctor of Audiology program. Candidates should have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications commensurate with career stage, evidence of independent and collaborative research potential, demonstrated potential to develop an extramurally funded research program, and an interest in developing excellent teaching skills.
