Job Description:
SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure) in the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will teach courses for students in our undergraduate programs and engage in university and professional service. We are eager to hear from candidates with a commitment to advancing SUNY Poly's strategic plan and our mission, vision, and values.
Description of Duties:
- Teach undergraduate nursing courses in online, hybrid, and on-campus modes, primarily in the RN-BS Nursing programs, in a student-centered teaching environment within an evidence-based practice setting.
- Remain clinically current as a Registered Professional Nurse to integrate real-world nursing knowledge into teaching.
- Engage in professional or academic activities in campus-based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive impact and advance the recognition and reputation of the College and SUNY Poly.
- Be actively involved in student advising and mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee service at all levels of the Institute.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $80-$85k
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS in Nursing from an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized organization.
- Teaching Experience
- Licensed Nurse in the State of New York (if out of state, one will have one year to secure NY license)
