Description
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking candidates for a fulltime faculty position as an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Ophthalmology – Cornea and Anterior Segment with primary clinical activities at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute - Irvine and Orange, with the possibility of also providing care to ophthalmology patients at Brea satellite clinic, and future satellite clinics.
Duties will include clinical care of patients and sharing in the responsibility for didactic and clinical training of fellows, residents, and medical students.

Requirements
- Candidates must hold a California medical license or be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure by the time of hire.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology with fellowship training in Corneal Surgery, by the time of hire.
- Candidates must also possess a background in research or scholarly activity with an interest in clinical or basic science research in retina.
- Candidates must have demonstrated skills in the areas of surgical and medical cornea.
