Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: The Gathering Place, Georgetown, Kentucky
Salary: $40,000 annually

The Gathering Place is a faith-based/nonprofit emergency & homeless shelter in Georgetown, Kentucky. We are dedicated to providing safe housing, supportive services, and pathways to stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We believe in treating each guest with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Position Summary
The Case Manager will work with our shelter guests to identify and address barriers to housing and self-sufficiency. This role involves assessing needs, connecting guests to community resources, developing individualized service plans, and working closely with other staff and community partners to support positive outcomes. This position directly reports to the executive director.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans for guests.
- Entering client data into an electronic data tracking system.
- Provide case management services, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and follow-up.
- Connect guests to housing opportunities, healthcare, employment, education, and other supportive services.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes, records, and reports.
- Collaborate with shelter staff, volunteers, and community agencies to coordinate care and resources.
- Uphold shelter policies while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Preferred but not required is a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in case management, social services, or working with homeless or vulnerable populations, specifically in a low-barrier shelter environment.
- Strong understanding or willingness to learn about housing resources, mental health, substance abuse, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to the mission of serving people experiencing homelessness with dignity and compassion.
- Must maintain a valid Kentucky Driver’s License.
- Must pass an extensive background check.
